my least favourite design thing is having to match another design. like i have to make a two-sided opening invitation and i have to insert the already existing poster in it which means having to match colours, fonts and everything. the problem is that im always instructed to save printer ink right? so this poster has an all dark blue background and tiny white letters on it.

also its a png and i dont have the source file which means spending fucking hours on font-recognising softwares to kinda get the right fonts. 

also the poster already contains all the information so what the fuck am i supposed to write in the invitation part, the poster already contains the invitation! they put everything required for an invitation on one page and told me to fill three more pages with _something_. i dont have the tolerance for this bullshit today.

okay turns out i wasnt supposed to match it because its too wasteful ink-wise i was supposed to figure out that what they expect of me is to REMOVE the dark colours from the background (and also make all the light coloured text that is now invisible on white paper dark) and match THAT new colour palette I just made up because I was somehow supposed to figure that out.

oh my god ive been dealing with jaw pain the whole day and i just got some antibiotics and the pain is starting to subside i did not get any sleep last night and we have to get up early tomorrow but holy shit im about to sleep i cant wait finally

Please don’t get me wrong I’m happy for my co-worker being pregnant and I know I’m being a petty asshole but if her ass hasn’t been licked clean by now by everyone in this office then now it’s gonna happen and it’s gonna be insufferable. I get that she only has a kid so she can get out of work (as she told us) but like we know she’s not dying, right? I have a hole in my spine nobody ever gave a shit but fucking queen bee is pregnant so everyone bring in your finest silks for her to lay down on. She’s like two months in okay plus she can technically take free days off whenever she wants, we’re already doing all her work for her, at least there’d be one less person to fucking talk over my damn music while I’m trying to work.

Someone please help me with how to design posters where you don’t know what the text is going to be but you know there’s going to be a wall of it. I have so many cool, clean design ideas but my bosses want EVERYTHING to be on the poster they put like legit paragraphs on it, it always looks messy as fuck.

People always notice and criticse when I’m slow but why does nobody like or even acknowledge when I’m literally faster than lightning like superhuman fast? My boss just asked me to tweak something on an Excel file and print it when I’m done. He sat down by another table to do something while I was working on his computer then I left after two clicks (one of which was the print button) because I was done and get the paper from the printer then I came back and said “okay it works this way but I’ll see if I can tweak it some more”, then he asked if it was readable and while I answered that yes it’s fairly readable on paper, I realised that’s the best I can make it so I said “yeah it doesn’t get better than this, I’m going to save it now so it keeps the current, most ideal settings” and then my boss was like “you just said you were gonna see if you can tweak it some more” and I was like “yeah I just did, this is the best it’s gonna look” and then he asked me again if I printed already and I said yes, and showed him again, then he said he doesn’t think I did anything.

Fine, next time get someone who works at a pace your brain can comprehend.
