Client: hey we’ll need this poster we put on Facebook printed in the newspaper and they want a 600dpi version so send them that
Me: okay I can make it 600dpi but next time tell me if you plan to print something so I can make it 600dpi from the start.
Client: why not just make it 600dpi from the start anyway?
Me: because if it only goes on Facebook then it’s a waste of time, effort, and RAM (and colour) to do it
Client: okay fine
Client: *absolutely never tells me when they want something printed*
Client: just make everything in 600dpi, why is it my job to warn you what the poster is for?
Me: …
Me: *does next poster in 600dpi and struggles with the slow processing*
Client: this is taking too long, I can’t believe a simple Facebook poster needs to be this complicated
Me: oh this is for Facebook only? okay then that makes it easier
Me: *rolls back the whole thing to 96dpi*
Client: *is happy with results*
***two weeks later***
Client: quickly send this to print as well, we want it in the newspaper
