To prepare for NaNo this will be about the four protagonists of Lucid in this order: Jay / Drew / Gemma / Griffin

1. List five basic facts about your OC.

• Jay has a long-ass name she hates so she just calls herself “J” /

  Drew’s agender/asexual/biromantic and chose their own name because they didn’t like the one their parents gave them / Gemma was born without her right leg from knee down / Griffin is in a long-term relationship with Gemma

• Jay and her family moved to a town called Jordan when she was little and for a while she thought it meant she would have to change her name to Jordan / Drew’s allergic to dogs / Gemma’s a human rights activist / Griffin loves his fucking wreck of a car more than his own life, probably
• Jay has a huge mass of darkness following her wherever she goes. It’s not doing anything but it’s there. Jay can never glance at it but she knows it’s there / Drew’s grandma has a room full of succulents and Drew sometimes steals them to give to their friends when they’re sad / Gemma is a fashion icon and she does it all on a budget / Griffin has two younger siblings, Ethan and AJ who he’s raising alone after their dad left them 
• Jay’s as bi as they come / Drew can pick locks / Gemma is boxing as a hobby but she’s as good as a professional of her age / Griffin is a pile of muscles but probably couldn’t hurt a fly if someone paid him for it
• Jay has a younger sister Chelsea that doesn’t live with them and she’s deeply, deeply jealous of her because she wanted to be the first one to move out / Drew  Gemma’s best friends are a community of squatters she’s trying to help out whenever she can / Griffin 
  EDIT: looks like I didn’t finish this last one but I DID tumblr’s just been messing with me about this post which is why it took me so long to do and now I can’t remember what I wrote for Drew and Griffin here and I’m too lazy to figure out now x) 

2. If your OC could have any superpower, which would it be and why?

Jay would want to heal people with her touch because she would help a lot of people and probably still somehow become rich without charging people for it / Drew’d say their superpower is putting up with “all this bullshit” *vague hand gestures* / Gemma would just be Wonder Woman because she’s a goddess / Griffin would want to read minds

4. Summarize your WIP in 10 words or less.

Depressed girl makes some weeeeeeeiiiird friends.

5. Do you have any villains in your story?

Ehh technically I guess I do, it’s this huge demon creature that tries to kill Jay so I guess that qualifies as a villain but I’d call it an antagonist rather. I guess Drew’s dad is a villain. Yeah, Drew’s dad. Fuck that guy.

6.  What’s easier for you to write, dialogue or description?

Neither because I’m bad but I enjoy writing dialogues more.

7. Do you have a favorite writing-related quote?

“Please… I’m tired.” – me.

8. If you could assign your story one song, what would it be?

Secret For the Mad by dodie, I guess but I have a whole playlist of awesome songs that fit the story.

9.  Where do you get inspiration from?

From every piece of media I consume, from moods certain songs put me in, literally fractions of sentences, just anything, really.

10.  Do you tend to underwrite or overwrite in a first draft?

It depends whether I’m rushing or not. If I’m trying to hit a wordcount goal for NaNo I’ll underwrite if I’m having a good time and things are rolling well I’ll overwrite. Both of those ruin my story and I’ll never touch it again :3
