Every year I do this darned thing so let’s goooooo

Working Title: Lucid, cause I couldn’t think of another thing and I’m like, queen of short titles.
Genre: young… adult? Is that… a genre?
Word Count: ~90k I reckon

AT THE START DO YOU:

Have an outline?

[[zach piona voice]] I’ve NEVER missed an outline.

Scene-by-scene? yeah I guess I do, not as precise as in 2014 but it’s enough, hopefully.
Know how it starts? yah but I don’t like beginnings they’re hard as fuck.
Know how it ends? yah it’s fun o/
Have your climax in order? I’m trying to keep it PG so no climaxing, thank you.
Have your main characters yet? I do o/ There are four o/
Plan to draw on your experiences? I’m not good at drawing, no.

IS YOUR WORK GOING TO BE:

Funny? first I’d have to be funny and since that’s a hard no already….
Serious? it’s the only way bAY-BEE
Sad? I’m sad
Semi-Autobiographical? UH it’s, no, actually not. The story isn’t about me, it’s just the embodiment of my fears and of my experiences. The main character isn’t me and the people in her life aren’t people in my life, she just plays a part in situations where parallels could be drawn between things I’ve experienced and the thoughts I’ve had… about those experiences and the effect those had… on me. I think.
Based on another story? only the other stories I’ve had that I bastardised

HOW MUCH HAVE YOU PLANNED? HAVE YOU USED:

A paper journal? save the trees, no
A computer? [[jacksfilms voice]] no the fuck is you
Index cards? index cards are for people who got time and I ain’t got no time
Bulleted lists? I’m pro-gun control so no bullets, no.
Character Charts? they’re too useful, no.
Character formulas? don’t ever talk about chemistry at me.

ODDS AND ENDS:

Favorite writing resource? m’head
A line you would like to use: “Jub Jub wants rub rub.” *sitcom laugh track plays* Thank you, thank you, I’d like to thank Jacksfilms for 80% of my sense of humour.
A scene you would like to include: I hope to include all of them, honestly.
A concept you would like to explore: UHH ACTUALLY I DO HAVE A CONCEPT THIS YEAR, I NEVER DO BUT THIS YEAR I- YES. SO THE CONCEPT IS, BASICALLY, WHAT I WAS THINKING OF, THAT SO MANY TIMES YOU WANT TO HELP PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE AND YOU END UP HURTING THEM AND EVEN THOUGH YOUR INTENTIONS WERE GOOD SOMETIMES YOU JUST GOTTA NOT BE THE HERO BUT THE SILENT OBSERVER OR RATHER THE PERSON WHO’S READY TO HELP AS SOON AS IT’S SAFE AND THE PERSON THEY WANT TO HELP GOT THEMSELVES TO A PLACE WHERE THEY CAN BE HELPED. CRYSTAL CLEAR, RIGHT?!
A cliché you would like avoid: why would I want to avoid the only thing I’m good at?
A character you would like to use: G, I feel like it’s the year of the character G, I predict it will make up roughly 1/20th of my novel.

FORWARD THINKING:

Do you expect to be able to complete it? NaNo I can complete for suresies, I can write 50k in a day, but to live up to my own expectations and finish the story itself? EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHH
Do you intend to complete it? No I aim to fail, duh.
Would you ever try to publish it? oH WOULD I?! *crickets chirping*
What do you expect to get out this month of frantic writing? to have explored a new genre, write a more personal thing I can be proud of, learn new things, get some XP, level up, have another story under my belt that I’m satisfied with. ‘scool.
