wHY?!?!?!??!?!? – Pass Through Fire

I’m literally on the verge of breaking down crying because of how angry I am.

How stupid can one person think you are?

Let’s start by saying that I’m in charge of administration tasks regarding our workers like days off, sick leaves, yadda-yadda. Our program runs from last March till the end of this February. So when February ends everybody has to have used up all their mandatory days off and every paper has to be in order.

Except the software we use to register days off calculates days off from last March till the end of last year and then calculates them again for these two months. So it’s, let’s say 15 days for last year and then 3 more for these two months.

So I go to register everybody’s three days so their contracts (including mine lol) can be suspended tomorrow when the program ends. Except when I click on “calculate this year” it says a bunch of people are bringing a bunch of unused days off from last year to this year. I check once I check twice I check ten fucking times, but everybody used all their days off last year, it says in the software that everybody had ZERO days off left on December 31st so what’s this bullshit about?

Turns out since some of the days off last year were registered this year’s January, it reducted the number of days registered from last year but it also added it to days brought over to this year since they weren’t registered last year. So people would end up with 20+ days off instead of the total of 18 days off.

This of course happened because when my co-worker said she’d register them when she comes in the office on December 28th and I wrote her a list of what days to register she fucking didn’t do it and I had to do it when I came to work on January 4th.

All morning I tried to figure out what’s happening, I logic’d my way to the explanation but still had no idea how to solve it. My co-worker who’s supposed to help me and who’s technically my superior and supervisor fucking pissed on my head all day not willing to answer one question of mine but still insisting that I should get it done until tomorrow otherwise she won’t be able to suspend the contracts (which she was complaining about all day long that she has so many of them to do even though I offered to do it for her twice and she rejected it both times of course, just so she can fucking whine about it later instead of helping me out -.-).

Alright I figured it out, by the way. Another co-worker at least listened to me and tried to help because she’s familiar with the software because she and my asshole co-worker actually had a training to use this software whereas I did not.

Alright, moving along.

The workers who will not be re-employed will also have to have another like… file number or whatever, those who have their contract renewed stay on the same number so the filing software can continuously register their shit but those who end their contracts here have to have a new number which is essentially a new file to say they ended their contract forever.

So my co-worker tells me a list of names that have to have a new number. She stands behind me, I write them up I tell her “so these five names?” she says yes.

A few hours later she asks me to list the names back to her so I do and after the first name she goes, absolutely horrified at how stupid I am “why would he need a new number?” I say, cause you said he did. And she fucking insists she didn’t. It was the first fucking name she said she was standing right behind me! I asked her to confirm it!! “His contract isn’t even with us, why would he need a new number?” She asks me looking at me like I’m the biggest fucking idiot in the world. “I don’t know, you said his name.” To which she says “Ugh, I’m certain I did not, okay?!”
