Welcome, children, to more suffering: Newt’s entire death scene was reflections of the friends Thomas already lost, with him trying to drag Newt’s body the way Minho was dragging Alby out of the Maze, Newt trying to shoot himself like Winston had to, being stabbed in the chest the way Gally was, even the last shot of Newt lying lifelessly on the ground with the teardrop on his temple almost exactly the way Chuck died, and I just want to say from the bottom of my heart: fuck.

Can I just say how un-annoyed I was by the Thomas/Teresa kiss at the end? I wasn’t a fan of any of the romances in the books and I was especially annoyed by Brenda (who I loved way more in the movies) and her involvement in the shitty love triangle, but it was just so beautiful in the movie like at the very end when Thomas has been shot to hell and is bleeding out and they’re going to die on top of a burning building and everything they fought for is lost and Teresa just wanted to do what she thought was right which was to help, I just feel like that kiss was so perfectly done as a way of forgiveness (and well shit, they do love each other) when nobody else would ever forgive or even know Teresa’s real intentions and idk it just broke me I am now a broken man.
