[Vox Machina] made their (…) way to the central palace in the Cloudtop District of Emon. The Briarwoods arrived, a feast was put out, however Percy went in under an illusion to look like Vax, while Vax went invisible. Everyone had formal attire on, weapons left at the door, unarmored, dressed for the occasion. During the feast, conversations were had, questions were raised, and information was extracted. Seeker Assum had requested to have been met in the foyer by our rogue here, who forgot and then decided to go on his own upstairs, following the Briarwoods to the second floor where their guest room was set.
What if Ellie’s immunity is somehow explained through something that happens to her mother while she’s pregnant? I’m more and more convinced that the second trailer is a flashback to when she’s pregnant and Emily wants to cut the child out of her either because of what they believe in as a religious group or because of something that’s already happened to Anna.
I wouldn’t be against it, I’M JUST THINKIN’
ME TOO. THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING. PLUS. IT LOOKS LIKE THIS WAS NEAR WHERE JOEL AND ELLIE ARE BECAUSE THAT WAS A BURNED CAR IN THE FIRST TRAILER AND A BURNING CAR IN THE SECOND. THINK ABOUT IT. GOOD NIGHT.
My theory is challenged.
There’s another guy gutted that’s hanged here and he don’t look the pregnant type to me. The woman still could be Anna and she still could be pregnant and this still could be a flashback but now I’m not so sure that about what Emily’s doing here. Maybe there’s a different type of the infection where you can carry it without getting sick and perhaps that’s what grants Ellie her immunity in her mum’s womb?
I know we’re not given all the information and all the context so it’s almost useless to theorise but it’s fun so lemme 😀
Regarding the burnt out car if you’re referring to this one
It’s probably not the same one because the one in the second trailer’s missing a back door and it’s generally way more burnt out already.
Plus there’s some stuff about this scenery that doesn’t match
Like how that pillar in the back looks like it’s supporting a bridge or there’s another concrete structure behind probably!Anna on the ground that’s just not in the first one. It could still be in the same area though because the trees seem to match so I’m not against your theory at all. My only problem is that why would this location still be relevant for the Fireflies or their remnants over twenty-five years later (providing the people Ellie has slaughtered are related to the same group we see here) when we all know they’re all fucking stupid and couldn’t survive in one place for more than a few weeks.
(For real this video but especially this part is fucking fantastic and changed the way I look at the ending of the first game. Everybody go watch Joseph Anderson’s stuff, he’s amazing.)
white boys literally only see themselves as human bc every time they say shit like “oh whats next, a fat black bisexual amputee??” in response to the idea of diversity in media its obvious that each word they add to this description to make it more ridiculous sounding is meant to be another degree further from Real people, as if there werent more people than you could imagine that fit that description
