why do russians end their sentences with) while texting. ??
Yeah I was wondering the same thing! Can anyone explain?
ooh i’m glad to explain this!
see this smiling face 🙂 ? well! in Russia we somehow ended up not using the eye part. so if someone texts you with lots of “))“s in the end of their message, they are just trying to be friendly and smile!
same with (, if a russian person ends their message like that((, it means they are sad. hope that helped!)

Watch: It’s your right to share your salary, not doing so could be holding you back.
At my last company, one day someone in accounting approached me at lunch and quietly told me I need to ask for a raise because I was way underpaid.
They gave me a number to shoot for. It was about twice than what I had been making at the time.
So I went online, did some research, found some figures backing up my claim, put it all together and went to my boss.
I got what I asked for.
If it hadn’t been for that person in accounting telling me I was way underpaid, I’d have never known. I went from barely scraping by to being able to have a savings account and getting all my debts paid thanks to them.
You should at least check sites like salary.com to start the process of seeing what you should be making.
Because this is crucially important
working at a company that has a policy that each employee must recieve a preformance based raise every six months- after four years finally get the second raise and am told that i should be thankful because it was the largest raise they gave that way and should shut up.
later found out that was a bold faced lie, i was the lowest paid employee in the entire company by about two dollars an hour
“If I met you in real life…” finish it in my ask.
Moments after @rheabutcher banned me from cutting butternut squash bc it’s “too dangerous.”
This is the “you need to boil the water for instant noodles” couple. Who’s going to volunteer and teach them how to cook safely and and efficiently?
Me, walking up to a gay couple: so which one of you tries to heat up noodles without adding water and which one of you breaks out the toolbox to slice vegetables?
Okay but I work with professional chefs and that’s how they do it

- The royal wedding is costing us taxpayers approx. £32million.
- The homeless of Windsor have been removed from the town, but ‘well wishers’ have been allowed to sleep on the pavement of the last few days.
- The homeless have also had all their belongings, literally everything they own, taken from them, only to be given back after the wedding.
- Some of the people camping out actually have bought and paid for hotel rooms sitting empty, but the press are still calling them ‘brave souls’ for sleeping out on the street.
- A lot of Windsor’s homeless are ex service men and women.
- The death of 10 teens in Santa Fe and the plane crash in Cuba have barely been mentioned on the news this morning.
