i’m fully aware it’s 80% possible i misunderstood what she said

im so fed up with people’s bullshit it’s incredible.

so there’s this ceremony every august 20th where we like give rewards and plaques and stuff to people who’s done something for the community. it’s usually people who are well-known in the village, teachers, football…. coaches…… or like sports people or musicians who’ve won awards or whatever.

this year public servants who work in the mayor’s office (where i work but i’m not one) also get awarded. three of them, specifically. i’m the one responsible for writing and sending out the invitations but this year when i got the list from one of my employees who actually get awarded, she told me they (the public servants) don’t need to get one. she was very hush-hush about it, so i was like okay well i guess they’ll be notified differently i mean they work within two rooms from each other obviously they’ll know about it.

once the other invitations were sent out, the two other employees asked me if they were on the list and i told them they were but colleague #1 told me the three of them don’t need to get invitations so i figured they’d be notified through other means.

now my boss obviously said it’s bullshit and everyone should’ve got invitations. also something i pretty much figured but what do i do then? go to my boss and ask him if the three colleagues also need to get invitations because colleague #1 told me they don’t? i’d just throw her under the bus by telling our boss she said they don’t need to get invitations.

a theory: i fucking misunderstood and maybe she just said she doesn’t need to get an invitation. but dO I LOOK LIKE I FUCKIN KNOW THAT?

i’m so fucking fed up, when someone hears they’re on the invitation list they all come to me like “don’t print my invitation, don’t send me one, don’t, i don’t want it” and this shit fucking ends up happening. next time someone (especially this fucking co-worker who i bet will get all up my ass about this because she thinks i’m lying even though either she’s lying or i misunderstood something fOR WHICH I’M NOT AT FUCKING FAULT cause she was the one messing with what i was going to do the way i was supposed to, she always tells me not to send her invitations…) asks me not to send them an invitation i’m gonna kick them out of my fucking office, everyone who’s on the list gets a fucking invitation and y’all can shut your asses.
