id say it sounds very familiar actually

i will never understand the “aces/aros don’t belong in the LGBT+ community because they don’t get discriminated against and they don’t get thrown out of their homes for being ace/aro and they don’t lose their jobs over being ace/aro” argument like alright but

years and years of thinking there’s something wrong with them cause no one told them it was normal to not be hetero (check)
growing up in isolation (check)
exclusion from social circles (check)
being discredited, told its a phase, their sexuality told to be a symptom of mental illness (check)
dehumanisation (check)
that pesky lil corrective rape (check)
a majority of their own community, the LGBT+ community, turning against them (oh look, check)

I’d say they fit the rest of us p well.
