I did the Flesh and Steel achievement for DH2 and I feel so accomplished x) My favourite part was The Grand Palace where I had no idea how to get around just… the first section basically, decided to swim around the whole island thinking the edge of the world is going to kill me at any moment and then it didn’t.

Then I rewired the clockwork soldier by the vault, I set fire to the whale oil tank, I took out the two rich guys on the balcony, I went inside the cushiony room, up the stairs, up the stairs, then into the Duke’s bedroom where the double was, then I got good rng luck cause the real one was in the throne room, I killed him, set fire to another whale oil tank, I took the key, I went inside the vault, I rewired another soldier, I got out, BOOM.

Idk why I was so proud of it x) For the most part I booked it to wherever I had to go. The Royal Conservatory was very unclean. I got spotted when crossing a huge-ass yard and then I just ran until they couldn’t follow me into the sewers.

Whoops.

Same thing on the way out.

Coming out of the Clockwork Mansion I had Sokolov with me, the witches outside, literally no weapons or ammunition left so I powered down the wall, and kept filling up whale oil tanks and throwing them at the witches who kept entering the station.

Also I found a super short shortcut in Dunwall Tower to the security room where you have to restore power to the elevator. There’s literally nobody in the way except for two witches and a clockwork soldier, I don’t think I’ll ever do that level differently from now on, even with powers cause it’s so damn sneaky.

My next playthrough will be the one where I do the remaining achievements but I want to take a break first cause I don’t want to get impatient from doing the same things three times in a week, and make mistakes.

so i hate almost the entire flooded district level, but corvo waking up in a cage looking, feeling and smelling like shit, his palate probably tasting wierd and gross after the poison, probably pretty hungry, stealthing his way around acid-spitting oysters to get his gear and then crawling through this entire wet dumpster to finally kick daud in his nasty face, all powered by the force of sheer spite & endless love for his daughter, is a mood

#corvo ‘i lived bitch’ attano

I’ll say this tho, Death of the Outsider was a masterpiece.
My appreciation for Arkane just grows every day. I just wish they could better write their plots. DotO and Dishonored 1 had the best stories but I feel like their games could be so much better if they could handle their narratives a bit better. It’s not like they’re lacking ideas it’s just the execution could be so much better, for real I’m thinking Bioshock Infinite levels of narrative with the gameplay and worldbuilding these guys can come up with, they’d have absolutely no competition in the game.

Dishonored 2 questionnnnn

Okay so… I’m not really sure if I get bonecharm crafting? Cause you can sacrifice bonecharms to get traits… and then you make those traits into bonecharms again… but this time they’re included in one bonecharm. Why not just put the bonecharms together? What function does sacrificing them have if I end up using the traits they had anyway? It’s like there’s this unnecessary step in the middle but I could also be missing something o_o
