It kills me that in ep36, Vax and Vex have a scene where he tells her he’ll always be around, always be with her, and then it transitions straight into Keyleth describing to Percy how she found a dead raven from the aftermath of the Briarwoods. It’s like the story knew the way things would go down. The irony is downright heartbreaking given how everything ended up.

#on the one hand #there are plenty of patterns to be seen once a whole can be examined #on the other hand #there’s something ever-so-slightly magical about critical role #and the way things fell out #and how neatly these sorts of echoes ripple through five YEARS of gameplay #and I don’t know if it’s matt mercer’s hair or what but #CR is more than just any game of D&D #there’s magic to it #ep 36

One(?) gifset per episode || 24 The Feast

[Vox Machina] made their (…) way to the central palace in the Cloudtop District of Emon. The Briarwoods arrived, a feast was put out, however Percy went in under an illusion to look like Vax, while Vax went invisible. Everyone had formal attire on, weapons left at the door, unarmored, dressed for the occasion. During the feast, conversations were had, questions were raised, and information was extracted. Seeker Assum had requested to have been met in the foyer by our rogue here, who forgot and then decided to go on his own upstairs, following the Briarwoods to the second floor where their guest room was set.

Oh yeah critical gifs are on hold a bit at least until I get ahead in NaNo in like a week or so, so sorry if someone came for that, you’ll get me rambling about writing instead o/
