Which OC would be loved/woobified by a hypothetical fandom? Which one would be demonized?

Pffft in Happy Endings there are canonically Cal stans and he hates them they go against everything he’s been doing. Being hated is the point ya dingdongs. I think about that a lot.

Amelia’s probably going to get demonized, I’ve seen it happen. Woman in a position of power against the protagonist? Yep. I mean, even Cal goes ‘That’s fair’ when she tries to kill him. I did my best.

I really hope I did all I could to make woobifying my two male villains impossible but I’m still afraid they’d be shipped together which would be pretty stupid. And I hope the Iron Slayer would be loved because even though she’s evil she’s pretty awesome.

Mason might be demonised because she spends most of the story doing bad stuff so she can stay in a position where she can do good stuff later and some people might not like that, but honestly just imagine how she feels :/ Plus some people might want to compare her to Morlene who’s a literal angel and hate her by comparison in which case I’ll track down where they live based on their purchase information of my book and then give them a long lecture about how they’re both amazing and both deserve the world.

Idk if Vale would be woobified or demonised. I hope neither but I feel like she’s closer to being woobified. She can be loved despite doing shitty stuff but pls no woobifying, thanks. She’d prefer being demonised anyway.

Mason: *covers up the sinkhole, extends the cemetery, makes it public and free for everyone so nobody has to throw their dead loved ones in a bottomless hole anymore*
Me, the writer who decided she would do that: *cries*

Morlene: please stop bringing customers to my home, I don’t like people knowing where I live.
Also Morlene: a stranger in need knocked on our door so I adopted them and they live with us now.

Children with coal
stains on their faces, mothers with white streaks in their hair, fathers with
a single teardrop in their eyes would all crowd around me and reach their
quivering hand just for a touch of their saviour… I’m getting way too into this fantasy for
someone who’s roasting raw dove over a barrel fire I have to feed with mouldy wood.

Vale spending the whole novel hating the assassin nickname people gave her then finally getting the opportunity to introduce herself as something badass towards the end to someone who doesn’t know her only to pick a name that’s even lamer than Bloodslinger pretty much describes her character.
