Boy oh boy. Well I’ve been aware of them since before Fire came out, and that was when I checked them out to see what kind of music they were making but I didn’t really like it (still not my favourite song x)). I listened to Save Me too which was way better but I didn’t really care about them again until DNA came out which I really liked but still wasn’t enough to get me more interested in them. I listened to Fake Love when it came out and I was really happy for their successes in America but I still didn’t do anything about it x)
So then I got into Blackpink late July (because of Ddu-du-ddu-du) this year and I was like hmmm I wonder what that other Korean band I once heard of been doing these days cause my friend @linnsometimes is really into them so they never really got off my radar.
And then I revisited the songs I’d heard before, especially Save Me, and watched a few of their other videos like Blood Sweat & Tears, Not Today, MIC Drop, Dope etc. and slowly started putting all these songs into a playlist on Spotify along with a few other kpop songs I liked (from bands like Exo, Shinee, Seventeen), except 95% of the playlist was just BTS.
I think the moment I completely gave up on life as I knew it before was when I started taking fucking sporcle quizzes to learn all the members’ names………………………………………………………
