i will never understand the “aces/aros don’t belong in the LGBT+ community because they don’t get discriminated against and they don’t get thrown out of their homes for being ace/aro and they don’t lose their jobs over being ace/aro” argument like alright but

• years and years of thinking there’s something wrong with them cause no one told them it was normal to not be hetero (check)
• growing up in isolation (check)

• exclusion from social circles (check)

• being discredited, told its a phase, their sexuality told to be a symptom of mental illness (check)
• dehumanisation (check)
• that pesky lil corrective rape (check)
• a majority of their own community, the LGBT+ community, turning against them (oh look, check)

I’d say they fit the rest of us p well.
